What is Empathy’s Academy Programme?

The Empathy Academy programme is a top-level training experience designed to offer an unparalleled learning experience in a professional environment to students in the final year of their current educational programme.

Through this initiative, our Academy fellows will have direct access to projects that will allow them to understand cutting-edge technologies, pitch ideas and launch initiatives while being in contact with industry experts.

As part of an Agile environment and continuously inspired by Empathy’s core values of Trust, Understanding and Joy, Academy fellows will benefit from early empowerment and a learning journey full of both personal and professional growth.

Your mission as a Frontend Academy Fellow

As Academy Fellow for the Frontend Path, you will join the Frontend learning experience that will enable you to drive innovation forward. You’ll achieve this by developing an inspiring project with the guidance of our mentors and showcasing your growth to the community. You will be creating joyful experiences that connect the users with the backend and the search functionality while learning to use technologies such as Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS, Vue and Unit Testing.

What you’ll bring

– Excellent level of spoken and written English and Spanish; fluency in other languages would be an advantage.

– Open attitude to collaborate on a daily basis with the team and share relevant information to drive process improvements.

– Genuine interest in the digital commerce market and eCommerce trends.

– Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask and prioritise.

– Exceptional interpersonal, logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Your mission as a Backend Academy Fellow

As Academy Fellow for the Backend Path, you will join the Backend learning experience that will enable you to drive innovation forward. You’ll achieve this by developing an inspiring project with the guidance of our mentors and showcasing your growth to the community. You will be preparing rest APIs, connecting databases, deploying and monitoring apps, and indexing data feeds to produce relevant query results while learning to use technologies such as Java, Maven, Docker, Spring Boot, Unit Testing, elasticsearch and Kubernetes.

What you’ll bring

– Excellent level of spoken and written English and Spanish; fluency in other languages would be an advantage.

– Attitude to collaborate on a daily basis with the team and share relevant information to drive process improvements.

– Genuine interest in the digital commerce market and eCommerce trends.

– Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask and prioritise.
